I’m an owner… Can I give my apartment for short term rentals in Bucharest?

“Hello!
I would like to collaborate.
I got an apartment in the center …very nice apartment… and I want to give it for short term rental ”
Well, now … after properly rolling up our eyes, the information lesson for the poor citizen is starting.
Because these are apartment owners who heard something, know something but not well enough.
The owner understands that he can earn more money by renting his apartment for short term rental accommodation then if he will rent his property in classical log term rental system.
Our explanation follows like that

You cannot and you may not give your apartment for short term rental accommodation, you cannot accommodate people in it, you cannot legally make your apartment an accommodation unit.

Or, dear owner, if you want to do it by yourself, you need to have a company, follow the legal steps, get all the approvals, see how to receive the VAT, classifications etc., to transform your apartment for accommodation, to have a dedicated website.
Also dear owner you will be exposed to the check in check out procedure, you have to expect guest for arrival, collect the cash, and see how you can cashed your guest if you cannot offer bill, to clean after each check out, go to the laundry … as you will not wash linens in your home! Fully equipping the apartment, see how the administration building will charge you for 7 people! Take responsibility for those who will enter in the apartment and many other things.
Bu why bother so much?
When in a convenient manner, after hanging up with us, the owner of any apartment may call another rental company that rents apartments in Bucharest.
And they would not be so “stiff”.
On the contrary, they would rent the apartment from the owner, usually without contract, will bring guest to house in this apartment, and would give the owner a sum, monthly, usually higher than the market price of real estate and … everyone is happy!
